We are very excited about starting another active Summer of vacationing in the Akron Canton Area. We are starting the Spring with a lot of events here at MAPS. For all MAPS Members, Please consider helping during these events in May.
May 1 – Spring Pancake Breakfast, come help us start-off the Spring Events at Maps with Pancakes, Sausage and Aircraft History. Don Block will sign pictures of his aircraft.
May 14 – Spaghetti Dinner - Tyler Wisbar, a MAPS Member is working on his Boy Scout Eagle Project. He is raising money for the project by conducting a Spaghetti Dinner at MAPS. The event will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm and the Hudson Jazz Band will perform during the dinner. All proceeds will benefit MAPS and ticket sale information will be provided at a later date.
May 21 – May 22 – Pilot program for Boy Scout Camp-out and Aviation Merit Badge. This will be done by District and we will begin with Great Trail Council and Lakes District in Summit county.
May 28 - MAPS Appreciation Day will be an “Open House at MAPS from 9:00 – 4:00.” This will be a joint event with The City of Green, Area Companies and Other Organizations. Lots of area businesses will have displays and the Sheriff will be out in full force; DARE, Horses and finger printing. No admission charge will be collected but please consider a donation in support of MAPS.
As we get closer to the event dates, we will post the detailed information. All dates are being placed on our Event Calendar on the web site as they are scheduled. We are looking forward to a great Summer with lots of exciting new events for everyone. Please consider joining us several times.
