MAPS Group Outing
Akron Aeros vs Bowie Baysox
June 22, 2007

Nearly 60 MAPS members, family and friends had a great time cheering the Akron Aeros to a soaring 7-1 victory over the Bowie Baysox at Canal Park on Friday, June 22, 2007. The first MAPS group outing to an Aeros Game was a huge success. A lot of the members dressed in MAPS clothing. We screamed loudly when the group was announced over the PA system and on the JUMBOTRON Scoreboard between halves of the 4th inning. The weather was perfect for baseball, having ballpark food, tons of fun, and the fabulous Fireworks after the game. Check out the Website for Linda Lippert's photos--including the one with me holding the sign. Yes, I'm wearing Baseball Antenna--what can I say but it makes people laugh, I love to have fun, and am crazy about baseball and the Aeros! Anyone else who took pictures--it would be great to have them on the website, and in print at MAPS (we can put them in an album). What a wonderful fundraiser--total ticket sales were $399, with $139.40 donated to MAPS--a 31.2 % return! Not bad for the first time! Thanks to everyone who participated! Let's buy at least 150 tickets next year!
