We are now accepting registrations for our 4th Annual Spring Boy Scout Campout. It will be held on May 9, 10 & 11. This is Mother’s day weekend but everyone leaves early on Sunday to get home to be with Mom. Click the picture or the below link to download more information and the registration form.
“I am not a fan of mass merit badge classes, I didn’t really want to come, but the Aviation Merit Badge at MAPS Air Museum is an exception. This is a very well run program, we learned a lot and had a great time.” Scout Master – Buckeye Council
“This is the best run campout-merit badge program that we have been to. We are new to scouting but I think this one will be hard to beat.” Assistant Scout Master – Great Trail Council
We cover the required curriculum associated with earning the BSA Aviation Merit Badge. Imagine, receiving instruction in aerodynamics from a Fighter Pilot on the aircraft he flew in Vietnam, F-100 SuperSabre, or go through a pre-flight with a pilot on his aircraft, or talk about careers from a retired colonel who is our director of education, an aeronautical engineer and retired principal. Saturday evening, we conduct a program of WWII and Vietnam Veterans talking about their experiences. Then we watch a movie in the hangar.
Space is limited to 250 scouts to insure the quality of the classes, so please contact us as soon as possible to make reservations for your troop. Contact Reed Kimball to secure your space, firstname.lastname@example.org
