Thank you to everyone who helped make the weekend very special for all of our visitors, especially the 194 Boy Scouts and the 71 Adults who attended the MAPS Fall Camp Out.
The weekend was like an ice cream sunday. The bowl of ice cream was like the Scouts coming for a weekend at MAPS. The hot fudge was like the Aviation Merit Badge that the Scouts would earn. The whipped cream was like the Tuskegee Airmen Traveling Educational Exhibit. The sprinkles were like the four Original Tuskegee Airmen who visited on Saturday. Our sunday was topped off with a cherry, the Red Tail P-51C Mustang. What a treat for everyone involved.
This will be a weekend that our visitors will never forget. I received a lot of comments from the MAPS Members on how well behaved and respectful the boys were. Great job to all the instructors, the kitchen staff, the gift shop people, the tour guides, security and everyone else that had a part in this wonderful weekend.
