Renovation Activities ~ Week Ending 12/20/20

- The F-105’s stabilator has been primed. It will be moved to the sand shed to make room for the aft section and vertical stabilizer.

- The F-102’s drop tanks are in the restoration building for fixing up and painting.

- One of the F-86D’s tanks had a mount problem. Dan made a new mount latch before he left for Texas. (top photo too)

- Our excess B-26 parts and gear are being packed up for transport to California. The receiver is paying for the freight.

- One Corsair horizontal stabilizer has been primed and final finishing work is in progress.

- The broken T-37 canopy has been patched and final finishing is in progress. It will never be clear, just satin black which the Air Force likes.

- The H-19 is in pretty rough shape. Panels are being removed. However, Dennis made one new panel to test how it might fit. Looks good.

- Wall studs are going up in the hanger second floor. Dry wall can be seen on the far wall.

- On Friday, Jim and the crew brought in the F-105’s aft fuselage. I counted 10 patches. We removed 9 of them today. There is also corrosion, missing panels and damaged areas. Left Side

- We continue to collect food for the Ohio National Guard. The drop off point is in the trailer in the hanger.

- We were very good at MAPS this year and Santa brought us a tree.
