MAPS Air Museum will be participating, with other museums, in the “Blue Star Museums” initiative put on by the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families in 2022. Over 2000 museums across the United States will be participating.
Free admission will be given to the nation’s active duty military personnel including National Guard and Reserve and their families this summer. These include children’s museums, art museums, history and science museums, zoos, and nature centers. Look HERE to see all of the facilities that will be participating. Expect the updated official list for 2022 in mid-May (even more museums sign up during the summer, so check back often).
The program begins on Armed Forces Day (Saturday, May 21, 2022) and ends on Labor Day (Monday, September 5, 2022).
