September 16, 2023From Ken Ramsay:
- Painting continues on our F-105 Thunderchief (2 photos).
- The last 2 bolts holding the Cutlass right wing are resisting removal, giving new meaning to screaming and kicking.
- Jodie is cutting the wing mount to relieve the stress on the bolts.
- Dan is finishing up the new tip on the right ailavator on the Cutlass.
- Interior of our C-130.
- The C-130 has an oven, freezer and fridge. Things not found in fighters.
- C-130 navigator’s station where my brother spent over 7000 hours.
- We turned the Cutlass’s left outer wing over. Not very pretty. Restoration should go quicker than the other side as we learned a lot (2 photos, plus top photo).
- Dave received a bunch of parts for the Corsair’s wing fold assembly.
- The F-105’s stabilator was turned over to facilitate final repair.
