Renovation Activities ~ As of 4-1-24March 31, 20242024 Raffle WinnersApril 21, 2024 From Ken Ramsay (a bit late on this post, sorry): Lots of work being done on the F-105. The centerline pylon structure is taking shape And there is a mock-up of the pylon. Paul is working on pieces for the pylon. After Jerry overhauled the F-105 nose wheel, it still leaked, so he continues to work on it with help from Paul. The F-84F’s nose gear is getting a fresh coat of paint. And the F-86D, Sabre Dog, is also getting its paint job refurbished. Bob is putting the final touches on the A-7’s new paint. Almost finished (top photo also). Skin is going on the Corsair’s right inner wing. And the Corsair’s tires have been mounted on the rims. Carl continues to work on the Cutlass aft section. Primer is being applied. And Carl has a young member helping him fabricate an afterburner nozzle for the Cutlass. The second panel is on the Cutlass right outer wing. The PVC sheet being fitted for the 3rd wing panel. Glue being applied to the PVC by Luke who is in the aviation program at Stow High School. The aluminum/PVC being screwed to the wing frame by Luke and Luke, both from Stow High School. Weights applied to the panel to insure a good bond between the PVC and aluminum. Dan is fitting the PVC for the 4th and final panel on the upper side of the outer wing. Share
