Renovation Activities ~ As of 1/26/23
January 26, 2023From Ken Ramsay:
- The stars on the A-26 deteriorated a little while it was outside for a couple of years. The stars will be redone by the F-14 crew. Thanks guys.
- Need to make some rounded airfoil tips for the Corsair and Cutlass. This is the beginning of one for the Corsair tailcone.
- Chet has installed some of the floorboards in the C-45. Thanks to Sean Ramsay for the wood flooring.
- The H-19’s interior is almost ready for the installation of the stretchers.
- And one of the helicopters rotor blades has been installed. The other two are being painted.
- We now have a tow bar for the H-19.
- Work continues on the F-105. Sanding and paint removal progresses (photo above also)).
- One of the training combat patches will remain as it is part of the Thunderchief’s history.
- Jerry is working hard on the F7U to fix the left wing leading edge. Lots of damaged material to remove..
- While removing the damaged material on the Cutlass, Jerry found a name plate. We assume it goes to the wing and is dated 4/20/54.
