The upper Surface of the F-105’s right wing has most of the damage corrected.
The inside of the F-105’s fuselage is a busy place.
A big THANK YOU to the guys (Bob, Mark, Bruce, John) that refurbished the Invader’s stars.
Getting the old skin off of the Cutlass left outer wing is a messy job. Shown here is the outer layer of aluminum removed leaving the rotted wood and glue layer.
Teamwork is involved.
And then all of the rivets and screws need to be removed.
Success, all of the lower skin of the left outer wing has been removed. The next problem is how to replace the skin. We did not remove the 3 access doors.
