Renovation Activities ~ As of 2/14/25
February 14, 2025From Ken Ramsay:
- The repair of the F-104’s fuselage is coming along.
- Removed the ammo bay doors on top of the Cutlass fuselage.
- The doors are in pretty rough shape.
- One skin removed. Many, many rivets.
- I had to see what primer would look line on the Cutlass, so I primed the left intake area after replacing damaged skin (2 photos).
- Guess what? The windscreen on the Cutlass comes off rather easily. Surprise (2 photos).
- Dan is installing lighting in the Beech 18’s ceiling.
- We hung the Cutlass right wing on the steel beam so that the wingtip can be finished (top photo also).
- We removed a large panel on the upper left of the Cutlass fuselage and found a large empty space. No idea what was supposed to be in there.
- I sent this photo to Al Casby (who is restoring a Cutlass to fly) and he sent back a photo of the space with its fuel tank installed. Problem solved.
