December 6, 2021From Ken Ramsay: Cold today (Saturday), mid 30s, but a lot of work got done.
- The T-37A fuselage was moved in to the restoration building for extensive renovation. It hasn’t weathered well. (Photo above too)
- The H-19 is now on its landing gear and the engine raised to its operational position.
- One engine cover was trial fit.
- Last Wednesday Bob installed the horizontal stabilizer tips. He has been working on them for some time. Forming this type of geometry is very difficult.
- Dan and I worked on the F-86A’s cockpit. We got the oxygen panel installed and the front and rear left hand side panels installed. The intermediate panels are missing and we will have to make them.
- Fabrication of the Corsair’s rudder has begun with rib parts being formed by Tom.
- And trim tabs are in the works.
- The Cutlass is off of the trailer and on its landing gear. We have the main gear wheels and tires but they need some work prior to installation.
