Happy 4th of July & Stay Safe!
July 3, 2022From Ken Ramsay:
- During aircraft movement we had a little booboo. The rudder of the OV-1 touched the wingtip of the A-26 (3 photos).
- Ron has begun the welding of the Corsair’s right forward wing spar (2 photos).
- And fabrication of the Corsair’s right aft wing spar has begun.
- The F-105’s aileron restoration is coming along (right in photo) and the new aileron is being skinned (left in photo).
- The rotor gearbox for the H-19 was installed (and top photo). It is low enough that it will not impede getting the copter out of the door.
- We have completed the fabrication of the F-86A’s belly panel. It is ready for Kathy Jo to prime it.
- Quiz time. Identify each of the 4 aircraft. Answer at the end.
- F-101, F-100, F-14, A-7
