2025 Fall Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser
August 7, 2025From Ken Ramsay:
- The C-47 is getting a much needed cleaning.
- The Cub is getting skinned.
- The F-104’s horizontal stabilizer has been removed and the damaged area is being fitted with new hardware.
- One of the side windscreens for the F-104 has been fabricated by Carl. Next is to fit it into the frame.
- And Sidewinder missiles are being made for the F-104’s wings.
- The Corsair’s control services are being covered. Yes, the originals were covered in fabric.
- The Ducks are in the house. Just minor repairs needed (3 photos plus top photo).
- And the missile for the F-105 is coming along.
- The following photos are on the Cutlass! Cockpit has been cleaned and painted (2 photos).
- Instrument panel and front windscreen are in fabrication.
- And a side panel is being made.
- The nose gear has been dropped (2 photos) Removing the nose wheels has presented a large problem. They won’t come off. Jodie is making a removal tool.
- The fuselage is looking good with the patching done and a coat of primer (2 photos).
- The aft end has been temporarily been installed (2 photos). Carl is working on a new attachment mechanism as the original latches are shot. The problem is that the aft end must be installed and attached to the fuselage with the afterburner nozzles in place.
