This photo shows how poor the H-19’s skin is. Looks a lot like the F-102’s skin. This is magnesium corrosion and is characterized by its hit by a shotgun look.

And the damaged skin on the H-19 is being replaced at a rapid pace. Lots of cutting, drilling and shaping. Left side.

Maintenance building to get water. Fired up the radios to dry any moisture out of them. Everything worked. Even the TCS Navy radios.
