MAPS Members ~ Special Meeting 7-24-21
July 20, 2021From Ken Ramsay: I’ve been gone for two weeks and things moved right along without me. It was great returning and see all of the progress being made (Featured aircraft above).
- The Pitts Special was cleaned by John, and he sent this photo to Leo who donated the plane to us.
- The F-102 crew found its ladder. It will be refurbished and become part of the display. The ladder can be hung with the canopy closed (unlike the F-100).
- I finished the F-105’s vertical stabilizer by installing and testing the position light.
- While I was gone Paul began fabricating a tail hook for the F-105.
- Flush patching has begun on the F-105’s fuselage.
- Priming of the F-4 is in progress. It will be final painted in Marine color.
- The front landing gear has been installed on the H-19.
- The OV-1 got its nose insignia, excellent work.
- The skin on the Corsairs aft end is being installed.
- Mary’s garden look great. A very nice place to take a break.
